Veggie Bean Burger

Preparation

Ingredients

  1. Sauté the onions in butter over medium fire until lightly caramelized.
  2. At the same time, blend the cooked beans with the quinoa, egg, flour, garlic powder and red pepper. Add salt and pepper to taste and divide into 4 portions. Shape into patties and fry them on a griddle with a little oil.
  3. Warm the buns on the same griddle and spread a little mayonnaise and mustard on them. Put a fried bean patty on them and garnish your burger with lettuce, tomato slices and caramelized onions.

  • 4 hamburger buns
  • 4 leaves of Italian lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
  • 4 teaspoons mustard
  • 4 teaspoons mayonnaise
  • 5 tablespoons butter
  • 1 onion cut into thin julienne strips
  • 1 cup cooked Peruano or Mayocoba beans
  • 1 cup cooked black beans
  • 1 cup cooked quinoa
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 red pepper, finely chopped
